At the end, Asriel would not see Frisk as the "type of friend I wish I always had” now that he knows Chara is not only present, but threatened him not long ago. In a Pacifist Route, Flowey may not want Chara to see the True Lab, or Flowey might be too afraid of Chara to orchestrate their friendships and face them as Asriel. In another genocide route, Flowey may never appear before Chara, or sabotage their efforts by warning Asgore in advance. If Flowey acted fearfully towards Chara after being threatened by them, the entire course of all future routes would be altered.
